to verified business accounts. We never sell your personal data. Athletes can delete their accounts and data

1. Overview
AthLnk, Inc. ("AthLnk," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AthLnk platform at athlnk.com and any related
applications (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and
share information about users of the Platform.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not
agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account registration: Name, email address, password, phone number, and account type
(athlete or business).
- Athlete profiles: Sport, position, class year, school, city, state, bio, stats,
highlights, and profile photos.
- Social media links: Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, and other platform handles you
choose to add.
- Business profiles: Organization name, industry, company size, website, contact details,
and brand preferences.
- Communications: Messages sent between athletes and businesses through the Platform.
- Deals: Deal terms, offer details, acceptance/rejection status, and related
communications.
- Payment information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. AthLnk does not
store full card numbers.
Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system.
- Pages viewed, features used, and time spent on the Platform.
- Profile view data — who viewed which profiles and when.
- Search queries and filter selections used on the Platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the Platform and its features.
- To calculate AI scores (BCS, CIS, PMS) for athlete profiles.
- To display athlete profiles to verified business accounts searching the database.
- To process subscription payments and manage billing.
- To send transactional emails (account verification, deal notifications, password resets).
- To send platform updates and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
- To verify athlete stats and credentials through admin review.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share information in the following limited
circumstances:
- Between users: Athlete profiles (including name, sport, stats, scores, and social links)
are visible to verified business account holders. Businesses can view which athletes are in the database.
- Service providers: We share data with Stripe (payments), Cloudinary (media hosting),
SendGrid (email), and analytics providers under strict data processing agreements.
- CRM integrations: If a business user connects HubSpot or Zoho, athlete contact data and
deal information may be transmitted to those platforms as directed by the business user.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to
protect the rights and safety of AthLnk or its users.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may
be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Athlete Data Rights
Athletes retain ownership of their personal information and profile content. Specifically:
- You may edit, update, or delete your profile information at any time from your dashboard.
- You may request complete account deletion by emailing support@ATHLNK.com.
- You control which social media accounts are displayed on your profile.
- You may opt out of appearing in search results by deactivating your profile from settings.
- Profile view data (who viewed your profile) is retained for up to 90 days.
6. Business Account Data
Business accounts are responsible for the data they export, download, or sync to external CRM systems. AthLnk
provides athlete contact data for legitimate business purposes only. Misuse of athlete data (harassment, spam,
unauthorized contact outside the platform) is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in account
termination.
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in), analytics (understanding
how the Platform is used), and preference storage. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this
may affect Platform functionality.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, encrypted database storage, and access
controls. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. You are
responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
9. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your
personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.
10. Children's Privacy
AthLnk is intended for users 13 years of age and older. High school athletes under 18 may use the Platform
with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe
a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@ATHLNK.com and we will remove the account.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws including the right to
